Perhaps you ask how I decided upon CameliaBay as my affix for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. It is a reflection of my love for camellias and our location on Mobile Bay in Mobile, Alabama.
We finally have retired and are enjoying Butch playing golf and I "went to the dogs". It is fun to more time with the
In Mobile, Alabama we can grow camellias in the winter times and have flower shows down here from November to March exhibiting the over 10,000 varieties. I went to a show about 15 years ago and saw dinner plate size camellia blooms and was hooked. I just had to have one, so I joined the local Camellia club and started growing and showing camellias. Sprinkled among these pages are beautiful and varied camellias including the ones I grow and have won with. As you read all about our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, please enjoy the beauty of the camellias as well.

I always loved dogs and always had one as a child as well as when I married. But it wasn’t until we were empty nesters that the passion for showing and breeding dogs began. I had toy poodles, mutts, and cocker spaniels and thought about showing cockers. But after I was shown all the work involved in keeping up a show cocker coat, I decided otherwise. Ironically I saw a ‘small cocker’ on an internet page, I began the search for these new cockers called Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I met so many nice people who helped me along the way in my journey to acquire a show quality female, Brookhaven Noel, and thus my journey began.
Come enjoy our journey with us and get to know our dogs.
